Dear
Andy,
You are truly a master craftsman!
I just recieved my saddle, and am stuttering with words
to describe its beauty. I have never seen a nicer saddle.
The entire saddle glows with quality. And Richard Tenisch's
silverwork is the perfect compliment to your work--eye catching,
elegant, and simply magnificent!
I am tempted to put this piece of art in a glass case and
forever let eyes feast on its beauty. But instead, I am
heading out right now to put it on the one place it's REALLY
meant to be...on a HORSE!
Thank you, thank you!
You have my highest of praises, and highest of recommendations
to anyone looking for a NICE saddle. Wow.
Sincerely,
Gretchen Swift-Wilding |
My
saddle is no doubt the best ride I have ever had on a horse,
now I know for sure what has been missing for so long, that
seat cannot be equalled, the longer you sit in it the better
it gets. Also what a surprise on the design, think you started
all over, a job for you, but I really love what you did,and
am glad you made the decision to change it, good choice
and I love it. You are an artist. Talk to you soon, Sheila
Port Townsend WA. |
I
waited till Tim got home after work last night to open it.
WOW!!!!!
We put it on Carlos, Then we flipped on the arena lights
and both went for a ride.
THANK YOU, THank You, it is just beautiful and it seems
to fit him without restricting his shoulder movement. I
really like the died back ground , it gives the saddle a
rosey hue. The tooling is awesome!
The seat to fender ratio is perfect for me and the narrowness
through the thigh area allows me to sit up ballanced at
all gaits. The fender length is perfect for me but about
one or two holes too short for Tim.
Well I am really happy with the finished product. I'm just
hanging out waiting to get a meeting over with today so
I can go for a longer ride!
Many thanks Andy, for bringing Tim's and my ideas to fruition
in such a short time. I know Carlos will thank you too.
All the best to you and Ruth,
Thanks again, Ginna |
Hello Andy,
Sorry I have taken so long
to get this to you, but wanted to tell you how
much I like my new saddle.
And if my mare could talk, she would say the same. The fit is perfect
for me, and I especially like how it makes it easy to assume a natural,
balanced position in the saddle, ankles, hips and shoulders all lined up
vertically. I could tell an immediate difference in how she traveled with the
saddle, especially apparent in her backup. Right away, she was much more
willing to round her back, get her head down and dig in.
It has exceeded my
expectations in all respects, and the quality of work has to be among the very best
I have ever seen.
Thanks again, and if I can
ever give a recommendation for you, please feel free to contact me.
P.S. I don't know if Cathy
has contacted you, but she feels the same way I do about her saddle.

| Hi
Andy,
I just
wanted to let you know that I just love my new show saddle!!! :-)
After spending 5 years trying numerous brands of saddles on Copper - none
of which fit him, I'm happy to say that the custom made show saddle you
made fits him and me like a glove! As I show my horse on the Quarter
Horse circuit, it's sure nice to have a top of the line show saddle to
show in. You did everything I asked for and more and I really appreciate
your expert workmanship and the quality of saddle I have received - so,
does my horse!
I must
also say that when I rode my horse for the first time, I expected that
I would have to take some time breaking the saddle in, but that wasn't
the case. It rides like I've had it for years.
Again,
thank you so much for making me the saddle of my dreams!
Sincerely,
Tracey

| Dear
Mr. Knight,
You
have now built for me two double rigged, eight stringed Western saddles
and a pair of shotgun chaps. I have on many occasions viewed the contents
of your Saddlery in Merritt, B.C.
The
quality of your workmanship is outstanding. Your saddles fit my horses like
gloves and will not shift an inch on the most steepest inclines in this province
or in the fastest reigning maneuvers. I don't need either a breast
collar or a crupper. These saddles when worn in are like wearing gloves.
The double stitching is exact and the horns the correct height and shape..
The fenders are turned so the solid bras oxbow stirrups are exactly aligned
for my boots. The Herman Oak skirting leather is of the highest quality
and I have rarely seen custom saddles as well made.
The
chaps which are of working quality, are of sufficient style to use in the
show ring.
If
anyone wishes further discussion please tell them to telephone me.
Yours
Sincerely,
Dr.

| "I
cowboy for a living and I own 3 of Andy's Saddles. When you spend
8 hours a day in a saddle, the seat is everything! No other saddle
I've ever ridden in, comes close to a Knight Saddle. Andy and I have
experimented with quite a few ideas and tested them here on the ranch on
various types of horses. What Andy has come up with is awesome, to
say the least! I ride in a modified Wade Tree with an inlaid 16"
seat and a 4.5" cantle. Andy took much of the bulk out from under
my legs and made a hard working close contact saddle, that is more comfortable
than your LazyBoy recliner!!
I'm
not the only one who is happy. Because of the better communication
from my legs and seat to my horses, they move much softer and freer.
I put
5 people in my saddle and had them try it and all 5 of them now own Andy
Knight's saddles. Once you've tried one of his saddles, you'll never
go back to another!
when
you talk to andy, tell him you want to try a Maury Grant saddle and I guarantee
you won't be disappointed!!

The
safest saddle I have ever ridden in! Now, when my colts spook, I
am right there with them, not trying to catch up. You ride in it,
not on it!

When
a saddle fits most of your horses and is comfortable to ride in without
leaving you sore at days' end, you can count yourself fortunate to have
met a good saddlemaker. I, for one, count myself fortunate to have
met Andy.
